In the mid 1970s, Loredano Brentegani was initiated into the trade of harvesting and selling fresh apples in the area of Verona, thanks to the teachings of both his father and uncle. Driving his van towards the fruit and vegetable market, the young Loredano did not yet know that his passion and desire to enhance the area where he was born would lead him to the birth of an international company, to be led with the subsequent support of his children Fabio and Chiara.

 Today B&B Frutta, after 40 years, takes its apples with the brands Rossella and Appeal all over the world and is finalising a new cold storage warehouse, aiming at progressively increasing the stock and the sales volumes.

Since its foundation, the vision of B&B Frutta has always been the creation of a short and sustainable supply chain, which can be controlled in all its many aspects to guarantee top quality apples on the tables of end consumers. In order to achieve this goal, we have chosen to acquire our own farms, complementing the orchards of our affiliated growers, and to enjoy the support of in-house agronomists, who provide constant assistance to ensure the well-being of plants and fruits. At our headquarters in Bussolengo (VR) we then take care of the storage, grading and subsequent packaging stages.

At B&B Frutta we want to be fully responsible for the physical journey our apples undergo. This is why we have also worked to obtain the status of Authorised Economic Operator, which has been active for us since 2017. This is a reliability certification issued by the Customs Agency to economic operators residing within the European Union, following a thorough audit. We can thus guarantee higher safety standards in international shipments, as well as leaner and faster customs procedures as they are carried out in-house. Finally, we decide on the best transport solutions for our customers, based on our many years of experience in the field and the large community we have built up with forwarders and shipping companies.

Our affiliated growers have always been the cornerstone of our company; therefore, we have chosen to arrange a variety of services aimed at ensuring the success of their work and fostering closer cooperation.
