Who we are

Sapori Antichi was born in 1991 near Venice. It is a unique company of its kind. For almost 30 years, it has been experimenting and using Italian raw materials to offer superior products both in terms of quality and nutritional values.

Sapori Antichi has its farms and collaborates with external companies in which raw materials are grown and evaluated in fields, becoming, after their transformation, the ingredients for the preparation of all our products.

In 1998, PASTA 1 MINUTO was born: it is the dream of a farmer who goes from the grain of wheat to the typically Italian pasta dish ready in 1 minute and achievable all over the world. The art of making pasta pushes the company to move production to the province of Modena (unquestionable homeland of pasta). Here, in addition to PASTA 1 MINUTO, a new product was born and highly criticized, giving rise to the VECCHIA MODENA brand. This brand identifies a line of deep-frozen fresh pasta which, compared to traditional fresh pasta, is preserved only thanks to the cold. In the following years, we added deep-frozen sauces production to both lines, and upon request of the market, the FORNO PRONTO line was born which consist in mixing the deep-frozen types of pasta and sauces to sell them as ready meals.

Today more than ever, the consumer trend has changed concerning both the availability of time dedicated to meals and the relaunch of the Mediterranean diet worldwide. We believe our three lines (PASTA 1 MINUTO, VECCHIA MODENA, FORNO PRONTO) can satisfy every need.

Lasagne sheets: durum wheat semolina, “00” soft wheat flour, fresh pasteurized eggs, water.
Sauce: pasteurized whole fresh milk, pork, tomato pulp, Parmesan cheese, red wine, “00” soft wheat flour, butter, celery, carrot, onion, garlic, olive oil, salt, natural flavours.

Sapori Antichi relies on modern quality control systems to guarantee the quality and safety of its products.

The current principal systems are:

Good Manufacturing Practices They contemplate the conditions and processing procedures which, based on long experience, have shown to be able to offer constant quality and safety.
Risk analysis and critical control points (or HACCP, from English Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). While traditional quality assurance programs focused on detecting problems in the finished product, HACCP, a newly introduced proactive technique, focuses on ascertaining potential problems and subsequent control of them already during the design process and production.

To ensure the adoption of quality assurance procedures at all levels, the quality management systems used by the company also involve close collaboration with suppliers, transporters, wholesalers and retailers. At the end of the processing, the packaging ensures that the food product reaches the consumer in optimal conditions.

The packaging maintains the integrity, safety and quality of the food during transport, in the warehouses of wholesalers, in retail outlets and up to the consumer. The packaging allows you to maximize product preservation while providing mattering information with the label. Also, the barcodes on the packaging, which indicate the date and place of manufacture, guarantee the traceability of products for inventory control to food companies, carriers and retailers.

Quality and Certifications

The company has a series of lines dedicated to the production of pre-cooked pasta, deep-frozen pasta, sauces and ready meals. The relationship with the suppliers of the machinery used allows us to be able to guarantee continuity of production. So, as well as for the raw material, all our suppliers are also Italian.

This choice gave birth to the ability to analyze and apply the continuous technological evolution that characterizes the Italian manufacturers of machinery for the production of pasta, sauces and ready meals. Our focus on technology further guarantees compliance with food safety regulations standards that involve both the realization of the final product and worker safety.

The company makes use of external certified laboratories for product analysis. For a precise technical choice, it makes available a quality control manager to the production in the context of national certifications, and it makes use of external quality managers for the certifications that need the supervision of subject matter experts (KOSHER). We evaluate the possibility of CO-PACKER production on request.

We pay special attention to the requests of customers, like those who are looking for particular products. In this sense, the company flexibility allows us to be able to meet the various needs always respecting the quality standards that characterize us.

The possibility of being able to store from our warehouses as well as the external warehouses located in strategic points for international logistics, allows us to guarantee continuity in the supply of the product through delivery planning.
