Wine for us is a journey you get ready for everyday, which never ends. It is a discovery of new colors and tastes different every vintage, which make the experience of working in the vineyards and winery full of unique sensations and values, from the land that grows the grapes to the people that look for it.

The typical character of our wines mirrors that of the territory and comes from a wise care of combining tradition with technology.

The unique characteristics of the climate and soil is what make the typicality of the grapes and wines of Mount Etna. At higher altitudes temperature leaps between day and night (up to 13-15°C jumps in July and August during ripening) allowing a phenolic and aromatic ripening that determines the color and taste of red grapes, and the aromas of white grapes.

The volcanic soil, called “ripiddu”, is very rich in potassium, with a double concentration than other soils, which grants a balanced sugar content to grapes and a right balance between acids and alcohols.

We are in Linguaglossa on Mount Etna. A set of unique and fascinating terroir. Here people live in a beautiful place as well as complicated. Here everything is extreme, at the edge of vine cultivation.

Between 500 and 1400 meters a.s.l., is the land with the highest vocation for grape growing, and the vineyards which better represent the Etnean enology and were the fathers of the DOC appellation dated back to 1968.

However, the bond between the volcano and its wine is much more ancient: findings revealed Etnean grapes of the Neolithic age and the beginning of the metal age, that is, four or five thousand years ago. It was probably wild grapes that Mediterranean populations took care of once they settled on the Island.​

Phoenicians first and Greeks later, in fact, introduced new grape cultivation systems and wine making processes, that they traded throughout the Mediterranean.
